1. Product Description

MoveWriter is a free desktop application for macOS and Windows that installs a Bluetooth keyboard service on the reMarkable Move tablet. The app connects to your device over USB, configures Bluetooth pairing, and enables you to type on your Move with any standard Bluetooth keyboard.

2. Device Modification & Assumption of Risk

MoveWriter modifies software on your reMarkable Move by installing a Bluetooth keyboard service. This requires Developer Mode to be enabled on your device. By using MoveWriter, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are voluntarily choosing to modify your reMarkable Move's software configuration.
• Device modifications may void your reMarkable warranty or violate reMarkable's terms of service.
• You assume all risk associated with installing, using, or uninstalling the Bluetooth keyboard service on your device.
• MoveWriter and its developer are not responsible for any damage, malfunction, data loss, or other issues that may occur to your reMarkable Move as a result of using this software.

3. License

MoveWriter is provided free of charge. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application. You may install it on multiple devices you personally own. You may not redistribute or resell the application.

4. Open Source

MoveWriter is built on an open-source project. The source code is freely available for anyone to build and run. The downloads provided on this website are fully built, signed, and notarized versions for convenience.

5. Privacy and Data

MoveWriter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All communication between the app and your reMarkable Move happens locally over USB. See our Privacy Policy for details about the website.

6. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer or decompile the application (the source code is already publicly available).
• Use the software for any unlawful purpose.
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices from the software.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

MoveWriter is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all devices or configurations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoveWriter and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damage to your reMarkable Move, loss of data, or loss of use, arising out of or related to your use of the software.

9. Third-Party Services

MoveWriter is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by reMarkable AS. "reMarkable" and "reMarkable Move" are trademarks of reMarkable AS.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of MoveWriter after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
